  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to human services; appropriating money for 
  1.3             youth housing programs. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION FOR YOUTH HOUSING PROGRAMS.] 
  1.6      $2,000,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.7   commissioner of human services for the biennium beginning July 
  1.8   1, 1999, for the purposes of Minnesota Statutes, section 
  1.9   256E.115.  The appropriation shall be distributed according to 
  1.10  Minnesota Statutes, section 256E.115, subdivision 1, paragraph 
  1.11  (b).  Any portion of the appropriation remaining unspent at the 
  1.12  end of fiscal year 2000 shall not cancel but shall be available 
  1.13  for these purposes for fiscal year 2001.  This appropriation 
  1.14  shall become part of base level funding for the commissioner.
