  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to community development; providing funding 
  1.3             for Neighborhood Development Center, Inc.; 
  1.4             appropriating money. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT CENTER, INC. 
  1.7   APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.8      $96,500 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.9   commissioner of economic development for the biennium ending 
  1.10  June 30, 2003, for a grant to Neighborhood Development Center, 
  1.11  Inc.  The grant shall be used for entrepreneur training 
  1.12  programs, development and operation of a Somali marketplace and 
  1.13  business assistance to Somali entrepreneurs, staffing for the 
  1.14  emerging businesses-emerging neighborhoods program, and alumni 
  1.15  training programs.
