A bill for an act
relating to state government; establishing the Lead By Example Act; reducing
salaries of legislators and constitutional officers; reducing per diem payments
to legislators.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin This section may be cited as the Lead By Example Act.

new text begin Salary and per diem reductions for legislators and state government
officials.

new text begin The salaries of legislators, the governor, the lieutenant governor, the state
auditor, the secretary of state, and the attorney general are reduced by five percent. The
daily rate for per diem payments made to legislators is reduced by 15 percent.
