  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to liquor; authorizing additional on-sale 
  1.3             intoxicating liquor licenses for the city of Elk River.
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [CITY OF ELK RIVER; LIQUOR LICENSES.] 
  1.6      The city of Elk River may issue six on-sale intoxicating 
  1.7   liquor licenses in addition to the number authorized by law.  
  1.8   All provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 340A, not 
  1.9   inconsistent with this section, apply to the licenses authorized 
  1.10  by this section. 
  1.11     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE; LOCAL APPROVAL.] 
  1.12     Section 1 is effective on approval by the Elk River city 
  1.13  council and compliance with Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021.
