A bill for an act
relating to capital improvements; authorizing the
issuance of state bonds; appropriating money for the
Minnesota State Academies.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $7,952,803 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund to
the commissioner of administration for capital improvement
projects at the Minnesota State Academies. Of this
appropriation:

new text begin (1) $4,622,207 is for asset preservation;
new text end

new text begin (2) $1,722,872 is to complete the renovation of Noyes Hall
on the campus of the Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf; and
new text end

new text begin (3) $1,607,724 is for safety improvements including
construction of perimeter roadway improvements for each campus,
construction of a new garage, and parking space for both
campuses.

Sec. 2. new text begin BOND SALE.
new text end

new text begin To provide the money appropriated in this act from the bond
proceeds fund, the commissioner of finance shall sell and issue
bonds of the state in an amount up to $7,952,803 in the manner,
upon the terms, and with the effect prescribed by Minnesota
Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota
Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
