  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [123B.148] [SCHOOL GUIDANCE COUNSELOR.] 
  1.7      A school board must employ the number of school guidance 
  1.8   counselors needed so that the school guidance counselor to 
  1.9   student ratio does not exceed one to 250.  
  1.10     [EFFECTIVE DATE.] This section is effective for the 
  1.11  2001-2002 school year and later.
