  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to retirement; providing benefit increases 
  1.3             for retired Eveleth police officers and firefighters 
  1.4             and their surviving spouses. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [EVELETH RETIRED POLICE AND FIRE TRUST FUND; AD 
  1.7   HOC POSTRETIREMENT ADJUSTMENT.] 
  1.8      In addition to the current pensions and other retirement 
  1.9   benefits payable, the pensions and retirement benefits payable 
  1.10  to retired police officers and firefighters and their surviving 
  1.11  spouses by the Eveleth police and fire trust fund are increased 
  1.12  by $100 per month.  Increases are retroactive to January 1, 2003.
  1.13     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.14     Section 1 is effective on the day after the date on which 
  1.15  the Eveleth city council and the chief clerical officer of the 
  1.16  city of Eveleth comply with Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021, 
  1.17  subdivisions 2 and 3.
