  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education finance; authorizing a fund 
  1.3             transfer for independent school district No. 857, 
  1.4             Lewiston. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [LEWISTON FUND TRANSFER.] 
  1.7      Subdivision 1.  [FUND TRANSFER.] Notwithstanding Minnesota 
  1.8   Statutes, sections 123B.79 and 123B.80, for calendar years 2001 
  1.9   through 2011, on June 30 of each year, independent school 
  1.10  district No. 857, Lewiston, may permanently transfer up to 
  1.11  $175,000 from its capital accounts in its general fund or from 
  1.12  its unrestricted general fund to the debt redemption fund. 
  1.13     Subd. 2.  [DEBT SERVICE EQUALIZATION AID CALCULATIONS.] The 
  1.14  eligible debt service revenue and debt service equalization aid, 
  1.15  if any, for independent school district No. 857, Lewiston, must 
  1.16  be determined prior to the annual transfer of general fund 
  1.17  revenue authorized in subdivision 1. 
  1.18     [EFFECTIVE DATE.] This section is effective the day 
  1.19  following final enactment.
