A bill for an act
relating to tribal-state compacts; requiring compliance; requiring reports;
amending Minnesota Statutes 2012, sections 3.9221, by adding a subdivision;
299L.07, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 3.9221, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

new text begin The governor shall annually report to the legislature the
state of relationships with Minnesota tribal governments, with respect to all negotiated
compacts, and shall report any deviations from compliance with those compacts on the
part of the state.

Sec. 2.

Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 299L.07, is amended by adding a subdivision
to read:

new text begin The commissioner shall annually report to
the chairs and ranking minority members of the legislative committees with jurisdiction
over gambling the results of all inspections of gambling machines, devices, and game
conduct allowed or required under compacts negotiated with tribal governments under
section 3.9221.
