  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to local government; permitting a time 
  1.3             extension for commencement of activities in a tax 
  1.4             increment financing district in the city of Onamia. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [CITY OF ONAMIA; USE OF TAX INCREMENT 
  1.7   FINANCING.] 
  1.8      Subdivision 1.  [APPLICATION OF TIME LIMIT.] For tax 
  1.9   increment financing district no. 1-1, established April 14, 
  1.10  1993, by the city of Onamia, Minnesota Statutes, section 
  1.11  469.1763, subdivision 3, applies to the district by permitting a 
  1.12  period of ten years for commencement of activities within the 
  1.13  district. 
  1.14     Subd. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] This section is effective upon 
  1.15  approval by the governing body of the city of Onamia and 
  1.16  compliance with Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021, subdivision
