A bill for an act
relating to disaster relief; appropriating money for natural disaster assistance.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $....... is appropriated in fiscal year 2015 from the ....... fund to the disaster assistance
contingency account under Minnesota Statutes, section 12.221, subdivision 6, to provide:
(1) the state cost-share for federal assistance under Minnesota Statutes, section 12A.15,
subdivision 1, in the area designated under Presidential Declaration of Major Disaster
FEMA-4182-DR; and (2) state public disaster assistance under Minnesota Statutes,
chapter 12B.

Sec. 2. new text begin DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $....... is appropriated in fiscal year 2015 from the ....... fund to the commissioner of
transportation to provide the 20 percent local match funding required to obtain Federal
Highway Administration emergency relief funds to repair local roads damaged by flooding
in the area designated under Presidential Declaration of Major Disaster FEMA-4182-DR.
Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.28, this appropriation is available until
June 30, 2018.

new text begin Erosion, sediment, and water quality control cost-share program;
appropriation.

of Water and Soil Resources for projects under Minnesota Statutes, section 12A.05,
subdivision 2, in the area designated under Presidential Declaration of Major Disaster
FEMA-4182-DR. Whenever possible and practical, these funds shall either match or
supplant available federal funding.
