 relating to natural resources; appropriating money for prairie butterfly conservation
program.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; PRAIRIE BUTTERFLY CONSERVATION
PROGRAM.

new text begin $81,000 in fiscal year 2019 is appropriated from the general fund to the Minnesota
Zoological Board for the prairie butterfly conservation program. This is a onetime
appropriation and is available until June 30, 2020. This appropriation is available only if
federal funding is not available for this purpose on April 1, 2019. If federal funding becomes
available for this purpose after April 1, 2019, the amount of federal funding up to $81,000
must be repaid to the general fund.
