relating to state government; appropriating money for a bust of Senator Rod
Grams.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; BUST OF SENATOR ROD GRAMS.

new text begin $....... is appropriated in fiscal year 2016 from the general fund to the Minnesota
Historical Society to commission a bust of former Senator Rod Grams and install it in
the State Capitol. Senator Grams was first elected to Congress in 1992 and first served
in the 103rd Congress. In 1994, he was elected to the United States Senate and served
there until 2001. He focused on taxes, government spending, and ensuring safety for the
American public. In 2014, Senator Grams was awarded posthumously the Federal Bureau
of Investigation Director's Community Leadership Award.
