relating to human services; authorizing new staff positions in the Office of
Ombudsman for Older Minnesotans; appropriating money.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin The Office of Ombudsman for Older Minnesotans is authorized to add six
full-time staff positions to serve clients receiving long-term care services in home and
community-based settings.

Sec. 2. new text begin APPROPRIATION.
new text end

new text begin $573,934 in fiscal year 2008 and $514,534 in fiscal year 2009 are appropriated from
the general fund to the commissioner of human services for the purposes of section 1. This
appropriation shall become part of the base appropriation.
