relating to public radio; appropriating money for Minnesota Public Radio, Inc.,
and for public educational radio stations.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; MINNESOTA PUBLIC RADIO, INC.

new text begin $425,000 in fiscal year 2008 and $425,000 in fiscal year 2009 are appropriated from
the general fund to the commissioner of administration for equipment grants to Minnesota
Public Radio, Inc.

Sec. 2. new text begin APPROPRIATION; PUBLIC EDUCATIONAL RADIO STATIONS.

new text begin (a) $325,000 in fiscal year 2008 and $325,000 in fiscal year 2009 are appropriated
from the general fund to the commissioner of administration for community service grants
to public educational radio stations.

new text begin (b) $100,000 in fiscal year 2008 and $100,000 in fiscal year 2009 are appropriated
from the general fund to the commissioner of administration for equipment grants to
public educational radio stations. The grants in this paragraph must be allocated after
considering the recommendations of the Association of Minnesota Public Educational
Radio Stations under Minnesota Statutes, section 129D.14.
