A bill for an act
 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for the Rice Creek Watershed
District.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin RICE CREEK WATERSHED DISTRICT.

new text begin $7,000,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of natural resources for a grant to the Rice Creek Watershed District for flood hazard
mitigation projects in the marked Interstate Highway 35W corridor, including constructing
water storage and treatment basins and augmenting water conveyance systems, to alleviate
flooding in the cities of New Brighton, St. Anthony Village, and Roseville. This appropriation
is onetime and is available until the project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota
Statutes, section 16A.642.
