A bill for an act
relating to environment; transferring money to the metropolitan landfill contingency
action trust account.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin METROPOLITAN LANDFILL CONTINGENCY ACTION TRUST

new text begin By June 30, 2024, the commissioner of management and budget must transfer
$29,055,000 from the general fund to the metropolitan landfill contingency action trust
account in the remediation fund to restore the money transferred from the account as intended
under Laws 2003, chapter 128, article 1, section 10, paragraph (e), and Laws 2005, First
Special Session chapter 1, article 3, section 17, and compensate the account for the estimated
lost investment income.
