A bill for an act
 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for the Fargo Veterans Affairs
(VA) Medical Center Fisher House project.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; FISHER HOUSE CONSTRUCTION.

new text begin $500,000 in fiscal year 2023 is appropriated from the general fund to the Fisher House
Foundation to acquire land for and to predesign, design, construct, furnish, and equip a new
Fisher House near the Fargo Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center campus. The facility
will provide temporary accommodations at no charge to families and caregivers of veterans
receiving care at the Fargo VA Health Care System. This is a onetime appropriation and is
available until the project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section
16A.642.
