relating to capital investment; appropriating money for Somali Museum in
Minneapolis.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin SOMALI MUSEUM; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $10,000,000 in fiscal year 2023 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to the Somali Museum in Minneapolis
to acquire land and predesign, design, construct, furnish, and equip a facility to be used for
a museum of Somali relics and artifacts, Somali cultural history, and education. This
appropriation is available until the project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota
Statutes, section 16A.642.
