A bill for an act
relating to human services; appropriating money for a grant for the purchase and
renovation of a building in Duluth.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; FIRST WITNESS CHILD ADVOCACY CENTER.

new text begin $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2023 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of human services for a grant to First Witness Child Advocacy Center, for the purchase of
a building in Duluth, renovation of a portion of the building to house First Witness Child
Advocacy Center, purchase of supplies and equipment, demolition of a portion of the
building, and establishment of a parking lot. This is a onetime appropriation.
