A bill for an act
relating to environment; prohibiting Pollution Control Agency from denying
registration of precast reinforced concrete sewage tanks that contain repaired
drainage holes; amending Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 115.55, by adding a
subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 115.55, is amended by adding a subdivision
to read:

new text begin Repaired drainage holes. new text end

new text begin A precast reinforced concrete tank that has one or
more openings in the exterior walls or tank bottom below the tank liquid level meets
minimum standards and criteria for subsurface sewage treatment systems if:

new text begin (1) the openings have been repaired or sealed; and
new text end

new text begin (2) all other requirements of the rules adopted under subdivision 3 are met.
