relating to transportation; appropriating money for the port development assistance
program.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION CANCELLATION.

new text begin $800,000 of the appropriation for port development assistance under Laws 2015, chapter
75, article 1, section 3, subdivision 2, paragraph (e), is canceled to the general fund on June
30, 2017.

Sec. 2. new text begin PORT DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANCE; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $800,000 in fiscal year 2018 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of transportation for a port development assistance grant to the city of Red Wing, under
Minnesota Statutes, chapter 457A. Any improvements made with the proceeds of this grant
must be publicly owned. This is a onetime appropriation and is available until June 30,
2019.
