relating to natural resources; appropriating money for culvert replacement grants.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin CULVERT REPLACEMENT GRANTS.

new text begin (a) $....... in fiscal year 2018 is appropriated from the clean water fund to the
commissioner of natural resources for grants to road authorities and watershed districts to
cover the costs of installing or replacing culverts necessary as part of a water-quality
improvement project that is subject to assessment under Minnesota Statutes, section
103E.315. Culvert installation or replacement completed with funding under this paragraph
must directly benefit water quality as determined by the commissioner.
