A bill for an act
 relating to agriculture; appropriating money for mentoring and farm business
management program challenge grants.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; MENTORING AND FARM BUSINESS
MANAGEMENT GRANTS.

new text begin (a) $2,400,000 in fiscal year 2016 and $2,400,000 in fiscal year 2017 are appropriated
from the general fund to the commissioner of agriculture for grants to the Minnesota
Agricultural Education Leadership Council. The Minnesota Agricultural Education
Leadership Council must develop criteria and award challenge grants:

new text begin (2) to individual colleges and centers of excellence in agriculture for farm business
management programs.
