A bill for an act
relating to natural resources; appropriating money for improving habitat in Grey
Cloud Slough.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin GREY CLOUD SLOUGH; WASHINGTON COUNTY.

new text begin $520,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2016 from the outdoor heritage fund to
the commissioner of natural resources for a grant to Washington County for a habitat
restoration project that will improve water quality and restore essential backwater aquatic
habitat by reconnecting Grey Cloud Slough to the main channel of the Mississippi River
Area. This appropriation is not available until at least an equal amount is committed from
nonstate sources. This is a onetime appropriation that does not cancel.
