A bill for an act
 relating to economic development; appropriating money to African Economic
Development Solutions.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin AFRICAN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT SOLUTIONS;
APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $750,000 in fiscal year 2017 is appropriated from the general fund to the
commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to African Economic
Development Solutions. This is a onetime appropriation. Of this amount:

new text begin (1) $500,000 is for business revolving loan fund expansion; and
 new text end

new text begin (2) $250,000 is for technical assistance including, but not limited to, business
development, entrepreneur training, business consulting, homeownership education, and
loan packaging.
