A bill for an act
relating to capital investment; appropriating money for construction of a facility
for the Family Partnership.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin THE FAMILY PARTNERSHIP.

new text begin $5,000,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of human
services for a grant to the Family Partnership in Minneapolis to acquire land and predesign,
design, construct, furnish, and equip a facility to provide mental health, early childhood
education, and other services to support children and families. This appropriation is not
available until at least an equal amount of money is committed from nonstate resources.
This appropriation is available until the project is completed or abandoned, subject to
Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
