A bill for an act
relating to civil actions; regulating the liability of certain municipal employees;
amending Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 466.04, subdivision 1a.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 466.04, subdivision 1a, is amended to read:

Subd. 1a.

Officers and employees.

The liability of an officer or an employee
of any municipality for a tort arising out of an alleged act or omission occurring in the
performance of duty shall not exceed the limits set forth in subdivision 1, unless the
officer or employee provides professional services and deleted text begin also is employed in the profession
