A bill for an act
relating to capital investment; modifying the terms of the wastewater
infrastructure fund grant to the city of Albert Lea; amending Laws 2011, First
Special Session chapter 12, section 19.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Laws 2011, First Special Session chapter 12, section 19, is amended to read:

Wastewater Infrastructure Funding Program

To the Public Facilities Authority for
grants to eligible municipalities under the
wastewater infrastructure funding program
under Minnesota Statutes, section 446A.072.

new text begin Notwithstanding the criteria and requirements
of Minnesota Statutes, section 446A.072,
new text end up to $1,000,000 of this appropriation is for
a grant to the city of Albert Lea to design,
construct, and equip water and sewer utilities
in the area of Broadway Avenue and Main
Street. This project may include demolition
of deteriorating concrete curbs, gutters,
sidewalks, and streets above the utilities,
and the construction costs to replace and
rehabilitate the infrastructure.
