A bill for an act
 relating to state government; permitting the Department of Administration to
contract for waste hauling without determining whether state employees are able
to do the work; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 16C.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin Notwithstanding section 16C.08, 16C.09, 43A.047, or other law to the contrary, the
commissioner may enter into or approve a service contract for waste removal without
determining that no current state employee is able and available to perform the services
called for by the contract.
