A bill for an act
relating to human services; increasing medical assistance rates for chemical
dependency providers; requiring a report; proposing coding for new law in
Minnesota Statutes, chapter 256B.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

For the chemical dependency services listed in section 254B.05, subdivision 5, and
provided on or after July 1, 2015, payment rates shall be increased by ten percent over
the rates in effect on January 1, 2014, for vendors who meet the requirements of section
254B.05.

The commissioner of human services, in consultation with representatives of health
plan companies and chemical dependency treatment providers, shall develop performance
measures to assess the outcomes of chemical dependency treatment services. The
commissioner shall report these performance measures to the members of the health and
human services policy and finance committees in the house of representatives and senate
on or before October 15, 2015.
