A bill for an act
 relating to transportation; highways; appropriating money for marked Interstate
Highway 35W and marked Interstate Highway 494 interchange improvements.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin INTERCHANGE IMPROVEMENTS AT MARKED INTERSTATE
HIGHWAY 35W AND MARKED INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 494;
APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $85,000,000 in fiscal year 2017 is appropriated from the trunk highway fund to the
commissioner of transportation for design, right-of-way acquisition, engineering, and
reconstruction, including related improvements, of a northbound to westbound ramp in a
turbine interchange at marked Interstate Highway 35W and marked Interstate Highway
494 as part of a phased redesign of the interchange. Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes,
section 16A.28, this appropriation is available for three years after the year of appropriation.
