  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to drainage maintenance; reestablishing the 
  1.3             Aitkin Drainage and Conservancy District. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [AITKIN DRAINAGE AND CONSERVANCY DISTRICT.] 
  1.6      Notwithstanding Laws 1987, chapter 239, sections 137 and 
  1.7   140, the Aitkin Drainage and Conservancy District is 
  1.8   reestablished pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 1986, chapter 111, 
  1.9   for the purpose of maintaining the Mississippi River diversion 
  1.10  channel. 
  1.11     [EFFECTIVE DATE.] This section is effective the day 
  1.12  following final enactment.
