  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to human services; allowing counties to 
  1.3             decide whether to contract for case management 
  1.4             services; amending Minnesota Statutes 2003 Supplement, 
  1.5             section 256B.0596. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2003 Supplement, section 
  1.8   256B.0596, is amended to read: 
  1.9      256B.0596 [MENTAL HEALTH CASE MANAGEMENT.] 
  1.10     Counties shall may contract with eligible providers willing 
  1.11  to provide mental health case management services under section 
  1.12  256B.0625, subdivision 20.  In order to be eligible, in addition 
  1.13  to general provider requirements under this chapter, the 
  1.14  provider must: 
  1.15     (1) be willing to provide the mental health case management 
  1.16  services; and 
  1.17     (2) have a minimum of at least one contact with the client 
  1.18  per week.
