A bill for an act
relating to state lands; providing for the public sale of certain tax-forfeited lands
bordering public waters in Lake County.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING PUBLIC
WATERS; LAKE COUNTY.

new text begin (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 282.018, subdivision 1,
Lake County may sell the tax-forfeited lands bordering public waters that are described in
paragraph (c).

new text begin (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the attorney general. The
attorney general may make necessary changes to the legal description to correct errors
and ensure accuracy.

new text begin (c) The land to be sold is in Lake County and is described as:

new text begin (1) Government Lot 16, Section 19, Township 61 North, Range 11 West; and
new text end

new text begin (2) Government Lot 2, Government Lot 3, and the Southeast Quarter of the
Northwest Quarter, all in Section 36, Township 60 North, Range 7 West.

new text begin (d) The county has determined that the county's land management interests would be
best served if the lands were returned to private ownership.
