A bill for an act
relating to human services; appropriating money for substance abuse recovery
services; requiring a report.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.

$1,250,000 in fiscal year 2020 and $1,250,000 in fiscal year 2021 are appropriated from
the general fund to the commissioner of human services for a grant to ServeMinnesota under
Minnesota Statutes, section 124D.37, to provide evidence-based substance abuse recovery
services through Minnesota Recovery Corps. The Minnesota Commission on National and
Community Service shall include in the commission's report to the legislature under
Minnesota Statutes, section 124D.385, subdivision 3, an evaluation of program data to
determine the efficacy of the substance abuse recovery services. This is a onetime
appropriation.
