A bill for an act
relating to public safety; requiring commissioner of public safety to seek a federal
waiver from passenger endorsement requirements on commercial driver's license.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. COMMERCIAL DRIVER'S LICENSE FEDERAL REGULATION
WAIVER REQUEST.

The commissioner of public safety must apply to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety
Administration for a waiver from the federal regulation that requires a person to have a
passenger endorsement for driving a bus with no passengers for the sole purpose of delivering
the bus to the purchaser.

EFFECTIVE DATE.

This section is effective the day following final enactment.
