BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; DIAGNOSTIC TEST FOR CHRONIC WASTING
DISEASE.

$1,804,000 in fiscal year 2020 is appropriated from the general fund to the Board of
Regents of the University of Minnesota to develop a diagnostic test for chronic wasting
disease that uses samples from living deer. This is a onetime appropriation and is available
until June 30, 2021.
