relating to education; appropriating money for Words Work grants for early
childhood literacy.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; WORDS WORK GRANTS FOR EARLY
CHILDHOOD LITERACY.

$500,000 in fiscal year 2010 and $500,000 in fiscal year 2011 is appropriated from
the general fund to the commissioner of education for Words Work grants for early
childhood literacy under Minnesota Statutes, section 119A.50, subdivision 3, paragraph
(a). Any balance in the first year does not cancel but is available in the second year.
