A bill for an act
relating to arts and cultural heritage; appropriating money for Somali arts and
cultural heritage programs.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; KA JOOG FANKA PROGRAM.

new text begin $570,000 in fiscal year 2016 and $780,000 in fiscal year 2017 are appropriated from
the arts and cultural heritage fund to the commissioner of administration for a grant to Ka
Joog for the Fanka Program for arts and cultural heritage programs. The funding must be
used for the Fanka Program to provide arts education and workshops, mentor programs,
and community presentations and community engagement events throughout Minnesota.
