A bill for an act
relating to environment; prohibiting certain charges by the Pollution Control
Agency for services regarding voluntary response actions on contaminated land;
amending Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 115B.175, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 115B.175, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

new text begin The Pollution Control Agency may not
charge a fee for services provided under this section to a city with a population less than
3,500 with respect to a site that is to be developed for public use or use by an entity that is
exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
