A bill for an act
relating to education finance; authorizing a grant to the McGregor school district
to compensate the district for declining enrollment beyond the district's control;
appropriating money.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin DECLINING ENROLLMENT GRANT.

new text begin $200,000 in fiscal year 2008 and $200,000 in fiscal year 2009 are appropriated from
the general fund to the commissioner of education for payment to Independent School
District No. 4, McGregor, to partially compensate the district for a decline in enrollment
beyond the district's control.
