1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to capital improvements; providing for a 1.3 facility grant to independent school district No. 286, 1.4 Brooklyn Center; authorizing the sale of bonds; 1.5 appropriating money. 1.6 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.7 Section 1. [FACILITY GRANT; BROOKLYN CENTER.] 1.8 Subdivision 1. [FACILITY GRANT.] $150,000 is appropriated 1.9 in fiscal year 2000 from the general fund to the commissioner of 1.10 children, families, and learning for a facility grant to 1.11 independent school district No. 286, Brooklyn Center, for 1.12 replacement of two boilers and a chiller. This appropriation is 1.13 available until June 30, 2001. 1.14 Subd. 2. [BONDS.] To provide the money appropriated by 1.15 this section from the general fund, the commissioner of finance, 1.16 on request of the governor, shall sell and issue bonds of the 1.17 state in an amount up to $150,000 in the manner, on the terms, 1.18 and with the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 1.19 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota Constitution, article 1.20 XI, sections 4 to 7. 1.21 Sec. 2. [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 1.22 Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
