A bill for an act
relating to natural resources; appropriating money for upper Mississippi River
comprehensive plan grants.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; UPPER MISSISSIPPI RIVER
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN.

new text begin (a) $150,000 in fiscal year 2014 and $150,000 in fiscal year 2015 are appropriated
from the general fund to the commissioner of natural resources for grants to the Mississippi
Headwaters Board for up to 50 percent of the cost of implementing the comprehensive
plan for the upper Mississippi River within areas under the board's jurisdiction.

new text begin (b) $10,000 in fiscal year 2014 and $10,000 in fiscal year 2015 are appropriated from
the general fund to the commissioner of natural resources for payment to the Leech Lake
Band of Chippewa Indians to implement the band's portion of the comprehensive plan
for the upper Mississippi River.
