Requiring the departments of corrections and human services to establish a
procedure to evaluate periodic requests by employees of the departments for
qualification for inclusion of the correctional or human services facility
position in the correctional employees retirement plan of the Minnesota state
retirement system (MSRS) and to periodically determine positions no longer
qualifying for coverage under the plan, requiring the procedure to provide for
evaluation of certain conditions; requiring the applicable commissioner to
notify the requesting employee of the determination of the appropriateness of
the position for inclusion in the retirement plan upon certain evaluation
procedure results and forwarding of the recommendation for inclusion to the
legislature
