2E Relating to public safety; eliminating the department of corrections (DOC)
report on performance measures and targets; authorizing the fugitive
apprehension unit to apply for search warrants; directing the commissioner of
corrections to implement a gardening program at state correctional facilities;
restoring commissioner's discretion in selecting inmates to participate in the
challenge incarceration program and requiring the commissioner to report to the
legislature on how close to capacity the program is being operated; allowing
department of corrections offenders victim notification to include electronic
notification; requiring requests for electronic notification to be forwarded to
prosecuting authorities
