Eliminating the sales tax on meals or drinks served to patients, inmates or
persons residing at hospitals, sanitariums, nursing homes and senior citizens
homes and correctional, detention and detoxification facilities, admissions to
recreational areas, tanning facilities, reducing salons, steam or turkish baths,
health clubs and spas or athletic facilities, interstate toll telephone,
parking, laundry and dry cleaning, motor vehicle washing and cleaning, detective
and security, pet grooming, lawn care, massage and animal lodging services and
memberships in clubs, associations or other organizations; excluding federal
taxes from the definition of sales price; expanding the sales tax exemptions for
medicines and drugs and for personal hygiene products; exempting from the sales
tax books and sheet music and veterinary prescription drugs (ra)
