E Modifying certain provisions regulating emergency (911) + telecommunications
systems; requiring owners and operators of new multistation or +private branch
exchange (PBX) multiline telephone systems to provide call back +numbers and
emergency response locations for caller location purposes, defining +call back
number, emergency response location and multiline telephone system; +exempting
multiline telephone system manufacturers, providers or operators from+ civil
damages or penalties in connection with developing, designing, +installing,
maintaining, performing, provisioning, adopting, operating or +implementing call
back plans or systems; requiring multiline telephone systems to +provide user
dialing instructions and shared residential, hotel and motel and +business
multiline telephone systems to ensure connection to the public +switched network
for automatic number and location identification purposes, exempting +certain
residential facilities with certain alternative means of direction +from the
requirement; specifying certain requirements for multiline telephone +systems
operated by public or private educational institutions; exempting +multiline
telephone systems with single emergency response locations and system+ operators
employing alternative methods of enhanced 911 support from certain +signaling
and database maintenance regulations; authorizing operators to apply +for
exemptions from the requirements from the chief officer of the public+ safety
answering points serving the jurisdiction; providing for +applicability;
appropriating money to the commissioner of public safety for certain +previously
enacted 911 emergency telecommunications services; requiring peace +officers to
invalidate drivers licenses or permits of persons arrested for +driving while
impaired (DWI) test refusal, return the license or permit to the +person for use
as an identification (ID) card during the period of suspension, +revocation or
cancellation and issue to the person a temporary short term license (mk, ja)
